Acceptable Use Policy

yer.ma is for sharing links, no for causing grief. Don't use it to shorten or distribute links to:

• Phishing, scams, or anything designed to deceive or defraud.
• Malware, viruses, or other harmful software.
• Spam, or bulk unsolicited messaging.
• Illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Harassment, hate, or content that exploits or endangers others, especially children.

What we do about it

We validate destinations and screen them against known-threat databases when links are created, re-screen them periodically after creation, and refuse destinations on our blocklist at both creation and click time. Anyone can preview where a link goes by adding a + to it (for example yer.ma/abc123+) and report it from that page. We review reports and may disable links and suspend accounts that breach this policy. Links reported as pointing to illegal material are suspended immediately, pending review, and confirmed illegal material is reported to the relevant authorities.
